Home Decorating & The Holidays ...Christmas Accessories
Plum Pudding Snowmen
I discovered these adorable snowman a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love with them.
Their faces are so simple yet so cute. They are stuffed with batting, have a flat bottom and each comes dressed with a hat , scarf and coat.
Grouped around or under a table top tree they make the perfect addition to your holiday decor.

Tabletop Trees
These are a great addition to holiday decorating. Being small they can be placed on tables, bookcases, desks, countertops.
Many of them come complete with lights, so all you have to add are your choice of ornaments.
If a standard size tree is not possible because of space, these are the perfect solution.
Oh by the way, in case your wondering, the tree in the top right photo is sitting on top of a dog kennel. We didn’t want our Toby (a slightly spoiled Blue Merle Sheltie) to feel left out.

Santa Claus
Christmas & Santa Claus just go together and are a must in holiday decorating.
I have a vast collection of Santa’s in a variety of styles. They range from porcelain figurines, small whimsical pieces, tall thin folk art to large floor ones.
The pictures above are a sample of what I call my “Woodland Santa’s”. They have fur jackets & hats and are usually carrying a tree, ax, snowshoes or sack.
Many of them also have little birds or squirrels perched on their shoulders, hence the Woodland.
Even though they are not the traditional, I think they say Christmas very well.

Elves
Now where would Santa be without his helpers. These charming little elves were a gift from my husband.
I think they add not only a touch of whimsey, but really help bring out the magic of the holiday.
I like to place them in places where they are not easily seen, and watch the reaction of guests when they come upon them, the smiles are wonderful.

Snowmen
The last accessory important to holiday decorating is without a doubt snowmen. I love snowmen, in fact it’s my one weakness when it comes to purchasing decorations.
All shapes and sizes fit right in, but I tend to lean more toward the odd shapes and whimsical faces. In fact the funnier looking they are the more I like them.
I think it might have something to do with the memories of the ones we built as kids. Tuck a few here and there, I guarantee they will make you smile
